On 17th February 2026, H.E. Prof. Ohene Adjei met with Dr. Matthias Rossbach, Representative of the State of North Rhine Westphalia to the Federal Government in Berlin. Discussions focused on the longstanding partnership between Ghana and North Rhine Westphalia, established in 2007, which has facilitated sustained administrative exchanges and university level educational cooperation between institutions on both sides.

Both parties reviewed progress under the existing framework and discussed modalities for renewing the partnership to deepen institutional collaboration. The meeting also considered preparations toward a proposed visit to Ghana by the Head of the State Chancellery of North Rhine Westphalia, Mr. Nathanael Liminski, scheduled for the latter part of 2026.
