RESTORATION OF GHANAIAN CITIZENSHIP
1. THE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA IN BERLIN WISHES TO INFORM THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT EFFECTIVE 19TH AUGUST 2024, PERSONS WHO HAVE RENOUNCED THEIR GHANAIAN CITIZENSHIP MAY APPLY FOR REINSTATEMENT OF SAME AS A RESULT OF THE DUAL CITIZENSHIP LAW IN GERMANY WHICH CAME INTO EFFECT ON THE 27TH JUNE 2024.
2. PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT:
- TWO (2) COMPLETED COPIES OF THIS FORM [CLICK HERE].
- TWO (2) PASSPORT-SIZED PHOTOGRAPHS (NOT MORE THAN 6 MONTHS OLD)
- RENUNCIATION CERTIFICATE OR NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE OR AN AFFIDAVIT FROM A LIVING GHANAIAN RELATIVE.
3. THE APPLICATION LETTER / FORM MAY BE DELIVERED TO THE EMBASSY BY POST OR IN-PERSON FOR ONWARD TRANSMISSION TO THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA FOR CONSIDERATION.
4. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT APPLICANTS MAY APPLY FOR PASSPORT OR DUAL CITIZENSHIP CERTIFICATE ONLY AFTER THEY HAVE HAD THEIR CITIZENSHIP REINSTATED.

NB:
- A PERSON PROVIDING AN AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF AN APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF THEIR GHANAIAN IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT (I.E., ECOWAS IDENTITY CARD OR PASSPORT).
- AN APPLICANT WHO HAS UNDERGONE A NAME CHANGE MUST PROVIDE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS.
- THE CONSULATE DOES NOT CHARGE ANY FEES FOR THE REINSTATEMENT PROCESS.

Die Botschaft der Republik Ghana Berlin sucht Sie als Fremdsprachenkorrespondent / Europasekretär/ Übersetzer (m/w/d)
Ihre Tätigkeiten
- Übersetzungen des Tagesgeschäftes in englischer und deutscher Sprache
- Ggf. Korrespondenz zwischen Partnern der Botschaft in deutscher Sprache
- Zusammenfassungen von deutschen Unterlagen in die Englische Sprache
- Wenn erforderlich, kleinere Dolmetschtätigkeiten
Unsere Anforderungen
- Abgeschlossene Ausbildung zum/zur Fremdsprachenkorrespondent/in, Europasekretär/in/Bürokraft eine vergleichbare Ausbildung oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Sehr gute englische Sprachkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Sehr gute deutsche Sprachkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Sicherer Umgang mit MS-Office

It has been observed that the dispatch of the Embassy's mails bearing ordinary stamps are fraught with delays by Deutche Post.
In view of this, the Embassy wishes to advice all visa and passport applicants to use the Einschreiben or the Express services instead of the ordinary stamps when submitting self-addressed envelopes for delivery of requested services.
Meanwhile, the Embassy is negotiating with the authorities to address the challenges. We apologize for any inconveniences the situation may have caused.
